The New Jersey State Assembly election will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 when residents annually visit the polls for the general election.
Reminder, the election takes place during "Teacher's Convention Week" and many families use the time off from school to take vacation. If you are going to be out of town on election day, please download, complete, and mail the attached "Early Voting" or "Vote by Mail" form. Your actual ballot will be mailed to you at the end of September so you can complete and return in advance of your trip.
In addition, please make sure all members of your family are properly registered. It is important for 18 year old students to get registered using the attached voter registration form. If they are going away to college, they should complete the vote by mail form to request a ballot be mailed to them. It is often better to have the ballot mailed to their home address so parents can remind them to vote the ballot and mail it back.
Note: voter registration forms and vote by mail forms can be completed and mailed at the same time.
Voter turnout is anticipated to be light, so please take ownership of the votes in your household.
Should you have any questions on the voter forms, please feel free to email me.
